As the first licensed funeral home in the state of Georgia, Platt’s has proudly served Augusta families for nearly 200 years. With two locations, 721 Crawford Avenue in Augusta and 337 Belair Road in Evans, Platt’s offers full-service funerals, burials and cremations through our onsite crematory.

Two generations of Platts and four generations of the Curtis family have guided this family-owned business with the highest level of care. Corinne Curtis has served as an owner for more than 45 years and is joined now in ownership by her nephew Will Anderson and niece Lisa Anderson Grolemund, with Will overseeing day-to-day operations. The family is proud to carry on the tradition of providing care to families when they need it the most.

At Platt’s, we strive to lift families up and carry them through one of the most difficult times in their lives. There are said to be 125 decisions to be made at the time of a death, and a good funeral director is the key. We want our families at Platt’s to think of a funeral service not only as a time to grieve, but a time to celebrate a life well lived. We must cherish the memories of that life, for only they remain with us.
