Zoe Wilson Wood

Augusta, GA - Zoe Wilson Wood entered into rest on February 22,2014 at the age of ninety three.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating.
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, she was pre-deceased by her father, Oswald Bendix Wilson, and mother Irma Bratcher Wilson both of Exeter, Nebraska.
Mrs. Wood married Benjamin Tillman Wood, Jr., during World War II, and moved to Augusta via Waynesboro, Georgia. She is survived by a daughter; Judith Wood Barrett (Brant Barrett), two grandchildren, Alexander B. Barrett, III (Amanda) and Benjamin Tobin Barrett (Brittany); and two great grandchildren, Caroline Smith and Alexander B. Barrett, IV.
Mrs. Wood attended the University of Nebraska where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She sold real estate and worked as a legal secretary while in Augusta. She was an active member of Trinity-On-The-Hill United Methodist Church. For the past two years, she lived in Myrtle Beach to be closer to her family.
Pallbearers are Herbert Ellis Jr., Lance Ellis, Tripp Ellis, F. Madison Barrett II, David Andrews, and F. Marion Durst. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Damren Sunday School Class.
