Z. Gretchen Erb

Martinez, GA – Z. Gretchen Erb, 69, loving wife of Ray Erb, entered into rest on Monday, November 23, 2009 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. chapel with Rev. Dr. Charles Dunahoo officiating.

Gretchen retired from the University of South Carolina Aiken campus, where she worked as an administration assistant. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook. Gretchen enjoyed vacationing in Hilton Head and spending time with her family. She was a very generous person.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, James Rust and wife Melanie of Buford, GA; one step son, Tripp Ray Erb; one step daughter Heidi Asman of Sante Fe, NM; two grandchildren, Mallory Rust, Gavin Rust, and one niece; Diane Totter of Phoenix, AZ.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
