William (Bill) J. Bonadio of Martinez, GA passed away peacefully Thursday, August 4, 2022, at the age of 92.

Bill is survived by his children Denise (Andrew F.) Kurta of North Huntingdon, PA/The Villages, FL, Janet (David) Forte of Brunswick, GA and Darryl (Judy) Bonadio of Evans, GA. He is also survived by his brothers Frank (Dutch) and Hank Bonadio of Elizabeth Township, PA.

He was beloved by his grandchildren Karrie (Gary) Bartuska, Josh (Jenny) Forte, Adam (Beth) Kurta, Mindy (Jeremy) Petrovay, Jason (Lauren) Bonadio and Katie Bonadio, and his 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Margaret H. Bonadio, two brothers Nate Bonadio, Emmett Bonadio and two sisters Josephine Miller and Roslyn Phillips.

Bill was born in Vanderbilt, PA on March 1, 1930, to the late Joseph and Mary (Pepe) Bonadio and moved to Glassport, PA at the age of 6. He attended both parochial and public schools until his graduation from Glassport High School in 1948. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Navy and served actively until January 1950. On June 25, 1950, Bill married his high school sweetheart, the late Margaret (Kasmarik) Bonadio, who passed away in 1989.

Bill worked at the Electric Resistance Weld (ERW) in McKeesport, PA for over 30 years as a General Foreman. Following his retirement from ERW, he served as a Staff Engineer consultant for Camp Hill in McKeesport, PA.

Bill loved to spend time visiting with his family and friends and enjoyed playing golf, especially during his many trips to Myrtle Beach. He also enjoyed music and dancing and participating in karaoke. Bill was a master handyman, always in demand; always helping.

The family would like to extend their deepest thanks and greatest appreciation for the care and kindness from the staff of Southeast Hospice, Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services, and the staff at The Claiborne at Westlake Assisted Living community.

A private service at Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, PA will be held at a later date.
