Willene S. Hooks

Evans, GA – Willene S. Hooks, 82, wife of the late Roy Milton Hooks, entered into rest on Thursday, January 7, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Elder Dwayne Hooven officiating. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Hooks was a native of Candler County but lived in the Augusta area for many years. She was a member of Augusta Old Line Primitive Baptist Church. She was a self-employed hair stylist and enjoyed her job. Mrs. Hooks loved dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons; Roy Gregory Hooks (Linda), Kennedy Van Hooks both of Evans, GA, one sister; Joan Jones of Statesboro, GA, five grandchildren; Brandon Hooks, Kristin Hooks, Madison Hooks, Katherine Hooks, and Sarah Hooks.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
