Walton Smith

Evans – Mr. Walton Smith, 84, beloved husband of Natalie N. Smith, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Chapel at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev Steven M. Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:30 until the time of service, and then burial will follow after the service.

Mr. Smith, a native of Goldsboro, N.C., served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a proud graduate of North Carolina State University, and was a retired executive with Archer, Daniels, and Midland. He attended First Baptist Church of Evans.

In addition to his wife, Natalie, he is survived by his children, W. Kevin Smith, Loralyn Smith Tate, and husband, Raymond, and Debra H. Perkins, a sister, Luta B. Lawrence and husband, Joe, of Goldsboro, N.C. , and his grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Candice Hope Smith, Stephanie Perkins and Matthew Perkins.

The Smith family would like to thank the caregivers, Anna, Melinda, Sarah, Tammy and Tasha, for the love and attention shown to Walton during his illness.
