Walter Leonard Manly, Jr.

Augusta, GA – Mr. Walter Leonard Manly, Jr., 64, entered into rest on Thursday, February 19, 2015.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Pastor David Hunter officiating. Burial will be private.

Mr. Manly was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Mr. Manly will be remembered as a gentle, kind man who was a devoted son, brother, and uncle.

Mr. Manly is survived by his mother, Dolores Waddey Gentry; his sister, Lynda LaCasse (J.P.); his niece, Laura Massaro (Marc); and by his cousin, Marvin Sears (Sarah). He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Manly, Sr., and by his step father, O. Lee Gentry.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, February 24, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
