Mr. W. Alton Bell, Jr.

Martinez, GA – Mr. W. Alton Bell, Jr., beloved husband of Sharon Milford Bell, went home to be with his Lord on May 30, 2011.

He was the son of the late Woodrow and Laura Bell. He was preceded in death by his sister Marie Creech. He is survived by his pride and joy his five daughters, their husbands and grandchildren; Elaine and Terry Davis and their children Morgann and Kody Belcher, and Kyle and Chad Davis; Stephanie and Rick James and their children Tyler and Taylor James; Stacie and Trevor Adkins and their children Caroline Edmonds, and Ben, Will, and Jackson Adkins; Elizabeth and Steve Anderson and their children Clay, Kyle, and Matthew Anderson; and Ashlee and Brent Odom and their children Bret and Addison Odom. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Mike and Sue Milford, Donna and Randy Bradberry, and Raymond Creech; and also by several other relatives.

He was a member of Warren Baptist Church and The Don Autry Sunday School class. He was a retired member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 150 where he taught welding and served many positions, the last being Assistant Business Agent. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of Briar Creek Sportsman Club.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Warren Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Hilley and Reverend Dave Dillard officiating. Interment will be private.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews Michael Milford, Beau Bradberry, Ryan Milford, and Alton Creech.

The family will welcome friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Platt’s Belair Road.
