Virginia Dixon Woodward

Evans, GA – Virginia Dixon Woodward, 81, peacefully entered into rest on Friday, November 9, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Phillip Burdette officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Virginia was born in South Carolina in 1931 and was a graduate of Evans High School. Second only to her family, Virginia’s greatest love was playing tennis at Petersburg Racquet Club. She attended Stevens Creek Community Church for many years. Virginia loved her family and friends dearly. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She lived for her grandchildren’s achievements and truly believed they were amazing.

Survivors include her loving husband; Marion Woodward, three sons; Ricky Woodward and wife Michele, Randy Woodward, Rodney Woodward and wife Debra, all of Evans, GA, one daughter; Renee Fisher and husband Heath of Evans, GA, one brother; Jack Dixon of Martinez, GA, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.
