Virginia Clark Portwood

Augusta, GA Mrs. Virginia Clark Portwood, 88, beloved wife of the late Hugh Portwood, entered into rest on Sunday morning, April 17, 2016 at Young Personal Care Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Gosey officiating. Mrs. Portwood was a devoted housewife who loved her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mrs. Portwood also loved to work in her yard. Mrs. Portwood is survived by her grandchildren, Stacie Portwood Blakeney (Demetrius), and Nickolas Justin Portwood; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Reynolds; her great-grandchildren, Chase and Dakota Teague; and by her nephews, Aubrey Frontis Clark, Jr. (Ann), and Homer Grier Clark (Amy). In addition to her husband, Mrs. Portwood was preceded in death by her sons, Samuel Clark Portwood and Gregory Leon Portwood; and by her brothers and their wives, Gary and Betty Clark, and Aubrey and Gene Clark.
