Tracy Steven Carter

Mr. Tracy Steven Carter, beloved husband of Jenine Miles Carter, entered into rest on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Augusta University Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at The Sanctuary of Augusta with the Rev. Bryan Cockrell and Rev. Ricky Coule officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Honorary pall bearers are Andy Jones, Jeff Gay, Don Childers, Paul Menk, William Miles Jr., David McGahee, Chuck Williamson, Scott Finley, Eddie Brown, and Mike Greiner.

Tracy was born in Germany on July 26, 1960. He graduated from Hephzibah High School in 1978. Tracy continued his education at Augusta College graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Business. After marrying the love of his life, Jenine, on April 27, 1985 he graduated with a master’s degree in business administration. He was employed by MB Jones and Sprint Food Stores where he was the Chief Financial Officer. Tracy was a member of the Sanctuary of Augusta where he served as an elder and an usher. Among many things, Tracy loved spending time with his family especially playing legos and coloring with his grandson, Grayson. He was an avid golfer, a fan of Atlanta Braves baseball and Georgia Bulldogs football.

In addition to his wife, Jenine, he is survived by his sons; Brent Carter (Tiffany) and Bradley Carter, his mother, Gloria Carter, a brother, Terry Carter and a sister, Tammy Rutt, as well as his grandson, Grayson Carter. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray.
