Tony J. Grammer

AUGUSTA – Mr. Tony Jay Grammer, 37, born on October 25, 1973 of Blythe, GA., went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2011.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Platt’s Belair Rd. Chapel with Rev. Kevin Steele officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

A native of Knoxville, TN., Tony spent the majority of his life in Georgia. He was always in a positive mood, was the first to extend a hand or a strong hug and would brighten up everyone’s day with a friendly smile. Tony would always help anyone who needed it and lived to enjoy life to make sure those around him did the same. He loved the outdoors and the mountains.

Tony was a proud member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters, Local 150, as a welder.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Janice Lever; step fathers, George Wilson and Lester Lever; a sister, Tracie Grammer; a niece, Chasity Grammer; a nephew, Jesse Kersey; great niece, Jamie and great nephew, R.J.; former wife, Dottie Brocato, step children, Joel and Brian; former wife, Stephenie Johnson, step children, John and Coleman; a fiancée, Crystal Cook. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Larry Jay Grammer of Greenriver, WY.

Tony will be sadly missed by his family and friends, but we celebrate and cherish the times we have spent in his presence. Our hearts will forever remember the love in his heart and the smile on his face.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
