Sonora B. Cottrell

Grovetown, GA---Mrs. Sonora Brannon Cottrell, 69, entered into rest on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, April 5, 2010, in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Cottrell was a native of Augusta and was a resident of the Harrisburg Community, for most of her life. She was the daughter of Frank and Aregon Cobb Brannon, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by an infant son. Sonora was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, David Cottrell, daughter, Nancy Cottrell and fiancé, Kenneth Mason, son, John Cottrell and fiancé, Patricia Manley, all of Grovetown, GA, sister, Glenda Arthur and husband, David of Neptune, NJ, step-son, David Cottrell III and wife Judy of Virginia, grandchildren, Amanda Oglesby, Karen Oglesby, Hunter Oglesby, Jacob Cottrell and Allison Cottrell and step-grandson, David Cottrell IV.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
