Samuel Allen Fouche, Jr.

Augusta, GA – Mr. Samuel Allen Fouche, Jr., age 78, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Billy Atkins officiating. Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Fouche was born in Augusta, GA. He served his country during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Navy and was a retiree with the Georgia Railroad.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, June Sizemore Fouche; his son and daughter in law, Sam and Beth Fouche; his daughter and son in law, Lee and Dan Kirk; his seven grandchildren, Robby Kirk, Samantha Fouche, Chris Kirk, Steven Kirk, Noah Fouche, Leanne Kirk, and Michael Kirk; and his beloved dog Rascal.

Pallbearers will be Preston Sizemore, Earnie Sizemore, Chris Josey, Zack Patrick, Alex Fillingim, Weymouth Betts, Ted Salter, Phil Salter, Jerry Salter, and Eddie Sizemore.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Chatterbox Club and the McDonald’s coffee club.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, November 20, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
