Royce R. Runner

Royce R. Runner, 71, loving husband of 46 years to Rebecca “Becky” Runner, entered into rest on Saturday, December 5, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at West Acres Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Royce was a Medical Lab Technologist, retiring from both Civil Service at Ft. Gordon and University Hospital. He was a member of West Acres Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and attended the Joy Bible Class. Royce loved spending time with his family and was known for his annual Dollar Tree Christmas by his grandkids.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons; Dennis Ray Runner (Julie) of West Lafayette, IN, Allan Kite Runner (Aimee) of Evans, GA, six grandchildren; Rebekah, Katie, Emily, Nathan, Josiah, Karis, sister; Nevah Odle of Lake Norden, SD, brother-in-law; Steve Kite (Carla) of Denver, CO, many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Royce was preceded in death by his parents; the late Allan and Evah Runner, brother; the late Robert A. Runner, and granddaughter; Lydia Grace Runner.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the funeral home.
