Roger D. Pate

Evans, GA – Roger D. Pate, 58, loving husband of 31 years to Glenda Pate, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Roger was a loving husband, daddy, and pop. He loved hunting and being outdoors. He spent many years coaching different softball travel teams in Columbia County. Roger worked for 35 years at Plant Vogtle. He was a loving family man and friend.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his mother; Lucille Pate of Rome, GA, one son; Dustin Pate (Kerri) of Rome, GA, two daughters; Ashlee Walker (Brandon) of Augusta, GA, Tiffany McCabe (Tyler) of Evans, GA, three brothers; Jerry Pate (Ann), Danny Pate (Iris), Bobby Pate, four grandchildren; Avery Pate, Kelci Walker, Maddie June McCabe, and Ellie Rian McCabe. Roger was preceded in death by his father, the late Horace Pate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
