Robert Calvin Bentley

Evans – Mr. Robert Calvin Bentley, 56, beloved husband of Roxanne Gunn Bentley, entered into rest on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Doctor’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Augusta Cornerstone Assembly at 4301 Windsor Spring Road, Hephzibah, Georgia, with the Rev. Fred Burman officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Mr. Bentley was an Industrial mechanic at Medtronic, and a member of Augusta Cornerstone Assembly. He loved boating, camping and spending time on the lake. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband to one, a beloved father to four, proud grandfather to two boys and a friend to all.

In addition to his wife, Roxanne, he is survived by his children; Jonathan, Joshua, Robin and Ryan Bentley, his sisters; Carole Bentley and Sandra Black, and his grandson, Aiden Bentley. He is also survived by Alisa Williams, who he cared for and considered his other daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; Calvin and Lucia Snipes Bentley.

Pallbearers will be River Dent, David “Rooster” Thomas, Richard Gibbs, Brandon Zapata, Kenny Vann and Ronnie Smith.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, September 19, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to our church, Augusta Cornerstone Assembly, PO Box 5088 Augusta, Georgia 30916, for the building of a fellowship hall.
