Robert Bobby Mills

Martinez, GA – Robert “Bobby” Mills, 74, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Doctor’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Apostolic Cathedral of Praise with Pastor Marcus Holt and Pastor Wesley McClain officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Bobby was a trooper and soldier throughout his pain and suffering, a very strong man of faith. He was the best husband, daddy, papa, grandpa, and our hero. He was loved by all who knew him especially his wife, children, grandchildren, and his church family who will greatly miss his laugh. He greatly loved his Pastor and Pastor’s wife. He loved to cook for his children and grandchildren and was the best cook in the whole wide world. He built birdhouses which went around the world. He loved his “baby” doggie “Angel”. He would sit for hours and tell her the tale of “Brer Rabbit” and she listened to him. He retired from the city of Augusta where he was a dedicated employee and he loved his employees, and they loved him. Special thanks to Pastor Holt and Sister Holt for standing beside us thru all of his illness and Dr. Whitlow, Doris, Dr. Callaway, Mindy, Dr. Broadwater, Robin, Patsy, Dr. Joseph, Dr. Feldman, Linda ICU, Daryl ICU, and staff for standing by him for years.

Survivors include his loving wife, Edith Ann Mills, two sons, Randy Mills (Pam) of Appling, GA, Jason Ellis of Savannah, GA, one daughter, Janet Coleman (Johnny) of Augusta, GA, three brothers, W.H. “Billy” Mills (Elsie) of Waynesboro, GA, formerly of Augusta, T.J. “Sonny” Mills (Shirley) of Martinez, GA, Earl Mills of Martinez, GA, one sister, Mildred Scott of Vidette, GA, six grandchildren, Stephen Coleman (Carrie), Robbie Mills (Brittany), Bobby Mills (Megan), Cristy Coleman (Bascom), Katie Coleman (J.J.), Danielle McClosky, four great grandchildren, Dylan Stevens, Cloi Meadows, Hallie Coleman, Terek Coleman, and very special friends, Louise Damron, Granny June, and Jeannie. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, the late Charles Ted Mills and Ethel Lee Doolittle Mills, and his brothers, the late Charles E. Mills and the late James C. Mills.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
