Robert Bob Spivey

Augusta, GA – Mr. Robert “Bob” Spivey, beloved husband of 67 years of Mary Louise Cadden Spivey, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, May 23, 2014.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 25, 2014 in West View Cemetery with Mr. Forrest Garner officiating.

Bob lived for, and served the Lord throughout his life. He was a faithful and caring prayer warrior, instrumental in leading many people to the Lord, or having a part in their spiritual growth. Bob was a true Southern gentleman. He was a longtime member of Lake Park Baptist; he joined Curtis Baptist in 1972, serving as deacon and Sunday School teacher at both churches.

In addition to his wife, Bob leaves behind his four children, Bob Spivey (Linda) of Kissimmee, FL, Gayle Price (CW) of Jacksonville, FL, Steve Spivey, Sr. (Lauren) of Augusta, and Paul Spivey (DeeDee) of Winter Park, FL; and also his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM.
