Raiford Eugene Watkins

Augusta, GA---Mr. Raiford Eugene “Bodie” Watkins, son of the late Robert A. Watkins, Sr. and Alacoque Johnston Watkins, entered into rest on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Augusta Hills Nursing Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 23, 2009, at 12:15 pm, at The Church of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with Father Michael Lubinsky as celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Watkins was of Roman Catholic faith and had been a resident of Gracewood School, for most of his life. Bodie’s glowing personality drew many friends to his company. His sheepish grin and coy wit captured many hearts. He will be remembered with fondness, by all who loved him.
Those who preceded him in death, other than his parents, were his brothers, Robert A. Watkins, Jr. and William J. Watkins and his sister, Carol Ann Watkins.
Survivors include; his cousins, Kathryn T. Carter, J. Bryson Trapnell, both of Augusta, GA, Edgar P. Trapnell, of Jacksonville, FL and numerous other cousins.
No visitation has been scheduled.

Pallbearers will be Larry Carter, Stuart Carter, Ross Trulock, Bryson Trulock and David Vernon.
