Phyllis Ward

Phyllis Myra Ward, 49, entered into rest on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Trinity Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Rev. Chris Brown officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM in St. Mark’s Cemetery in Sardis, GA.

Phyllis was a member of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC. She enjoyed gardening and shopping with her daughter. Phyllis also enjoyed working around the house and spending time with her son. She loved to vacation at the beach and the mountains. Phyllis was a loving mother, daughter, Nana, and friend.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, the late Shelby Holland Ward.

Survivors include her father, Ronald Ward and wife Susie of Sylvania, GA, her son, Ronnie “Bubba” Brannan of North Augusta, SC, her daughter, Marla Logan and husband Tim of Grovetown, GA, her pet son, Leroy the Dog, her brother, James Curtis Peterson and wife Cheri of Augusta, GA, her sister, Hope Ward of Spartanburg, SC, four step brothers, all of Burke County, GA, two grandchildren, Trenton and Aubrey Grace Logan, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nate “The Cop” Weigle, Brandon Clark, Mikel Dye, Christopher Peterson, Cody Jackson, and Raymond Barton.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
