Mildred Zeller

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Mildred Carr Zeller, 86, beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Zeller, entered into rest on Monday, September 28, 2015 at her residence.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church on Thursday, October 1, 2015 with Father Jerry Ragan serving as celebrant. Interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Zeller was a beautician for 60 years and was the owner of Mildred’s Beauty Shop. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a current member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Mrs. Zeller was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women and was active with the St. Mary’s Senior Citizens Group. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Zeller is survived by her daughters, Marlene Z. Spears, and Dannie Reynolds; her grandchildren, James “Jaime” Spears, Jr. (Autumn), Charles A. Spears (Amy), Travis L. Spears (Lisa), and Christopher Harris; and her eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Zeller was preceded in death by her daughter, Tana Zeller; and by her special son-in-law, Jimmy Spears.

Pallbearers will be Jaime Spears, Charlie Spears, Travis Spears, Scott Strickland, Tommy Welsh, and Sonny Scott. Mr. George Dixon will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

A vigil for the deceased will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel. The family will receive friends following the vigil until 8:00 PM.
