Mickey Mon Hong Loo Wing

Mickey Mon Hong Loo Wing, 94, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on November 28, 2022.

Mickey was born in Augusta, GA to parents Sing Yet and Do Shee Loo on October 6, 1928. She was the fourth child of 19 children. She attended Tubman High School in Augusta where she was awarded the trophy for “Best All Round Athlete” in her senior year. In 1951, she married Daniel Wing, with whom she had three children.

Mickey’s husband, Danny, preceded her in death on May 17, 1980. She is survived by daughter Linda (Bob) Duckworth, sons Anthony (Wen) Wing and Timothy Wing, grandchildren Anastasia (Jake Harvey) Duckworth, Robert Duckworth, Jonathan Wing, Ian Wing and Dylan Wing, and great granddaughters Theodora Duckworth and Eloise Harvey.

Mickey worked in the family grocery business along with husband, Danny, as a secretary for a radiologist at MCG, and as a secretary at the IRS. She lived in Augusta, GA, Orlando, FL, and Atlanta, GA.

Mickey was very active in the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association in Augusta, GA along with her husband, Danny, who was a past president of the CCBA. Mickey was active with the Women’s Club, served as Secretary-Treasurer for several years, and helped plan the annual holiday Orchid Brocade Ball. She played on women’s and mixed league bowling teams, and loved to play bridge and mah-jong.

Pall bearers will be Timothy Wing, Quock Loo, Scott Loo, Gee Loo, Quock Loo, Jr., and Travis Tom.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 2:30 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Platts Funeral Home, located at 337 North Belair Rd, Evans, GA 30809. Burial service will follow at Westover Cemetery. Reverend Taylor Tom will be officiating.
