Augusta, GA – Mrs. “Pat” Harrison, 89, peacefully entered into rest on Friday, August 5, 2011 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Westover Memorial Park with Reverend Charles Broome officiating.

Mrs. Harrison, originally from Florence South Carolina, moved to Thomson, GA to live with her cousin while her husband was overseas during World War II. Upon his return they made Thomson their home, until moving to Augusta in 1962. She graduated from The Women’s College of North Carolina at the age of seventeen and worked until the end of the war when she and Bob began their family with the birth of their first son in 1947. She was a dedicated spectator and supporter of all the sports in which her sons participated. She enjoyed her travels abroad and was an avid bridge player. She was a charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Lee Harrison, Sr., her parents James Howard Dabbs and Jeanette Aiken Dabbs of Summerville, SC; and her brother, James Howard Dabbs, Jr., of Goldsboro, NC.

Mrs. Harrison is survived by her four sons and spouses; Robert Lee Harrison, Jr. and Marsha Davis Harrison; James Michael Harrison and Margaret McDonough Harrison; David Lewis Harrison; Charles Jeffrey Harrison and Pamela Willingham Harrison; plus eight grandchildren; David Lewis Harrison, Jr., Charles Jeffrey Harrison, Jr., Cameron Lee Harrison, Elizabeth Stanton Harrison, Robert Lee Harrison III, James Willingham Harrison, James Lyle Harrison, and Michael Lee Harrison; plus one great-grandchild; Oliviae Nancine Harrison.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening, August 8, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers for their care and support.
