Mary P. Selzler

Augusta, GA---Mrs. Mary P. Selzler entered into rest on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at her residence, with her family by her side.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Father Avery Hanna as celebrant.
Interment services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, in Grovetown, GA.
Mrs. Selzler was a native of Augusta and was a dedicated member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy and attended Augusta College. She retired from Civil Service, at Ft. Gordon, following many years of service.
Mrs. Selzler was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Marie Bollinger Carr, an infant daughter, Bridget Selzler, a sister, Eleanor Norton and a brother, Patrick Carr.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Selzler of Augusta, GA, two daughters, Patricia S. Christy and husband Roger of Danville, CA and Marie Selzler-Massey of Augusta, GA, one son, James Joseph Selzler and wife, Robin of Santa Barbara, CA and two granddaughters, Abby Selzler and Eliza Selzler.
A vigil service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel. The family will receive friends following the vigil service until 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School, 1420 Monte Sano Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
