Mary Lynn O'Tyson

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Mary Lynn O’Tyson, 81, beloved wife of the late Lewis O’Tyson, entered into rest on Saturday, May 2, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Central Christian Church with Rev. Dr. Emmett “Tip” Carroll officiating. Interment to follow in Westover Memorial Park.

Mrs. O’Tyson was a member of Central Christian Church where she was Elder Emeritus and a member of CWF (Christian Women’s Fellowship). She was also a member of Christian Churches of Georgia, Gap Ministries, Interfaith, Tubman Alumni, Richmond Reelers Square Dance Club, and a former member of Women in Construction.

Mrs. O’Tyson is survived by her sons, Billy Robertson (Terry), Lewis Robertson, Warren Robertson (Edie), and Tony O’Tyson (Cathy); her step daughters, Rita Whitfield (Duane), Jean Knight (Billy), and Valerie Hixon (Robbie); her daughter-in-law, Tonya O’Tyson; her 18 grandchildren; and her many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis O’Tyson; her son, Lance O’Tyson; and by her sister, Lillian Samonsky.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Sidener, Harold Gay, Gary Judy, James Lamb, John Anderson, and Steve Willard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of Central Christian Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, May 4, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
