Mary Helen Walde

Greenwood, S.C. – Ms. Mary Helen Walde, 78, of Greenwood, S.C., entered into rest on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Hospicecare of the Piedmont.

Ms. Walde was a native of Altoona, Pennsylvania before moving to Evans, Georgia. She was a graduate of Altoona High School and Augusta State University. She was also a member of the Augusta Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the Church of Our Savior, as well as a Navy veteran.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael John Walde of Greenwood, S.C., and Mark Donald Walde of Ware Shoals, S.C., a sister, Mrs. Ann C. Hall of Winchester, Kentucky and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be private.
