Lula Frances Stephenson

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Lula Frances Stephenson, 93, entered into rest on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Lake Crossing Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Pastor Lynn Kirkland officiating. Interment to follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Stephenson was a hard worker, and worked many years with the Lily Tulip Company and with President’s Baking Company. She loved bowling, and working in her yard. Mrs. Stephenson was a member of Curtis Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stephenson is survived by her daughters, Betty Jean Hensley, and Patricia S. Bailey; her brothers, Charlie, Jack, and James Stewart; her sisters, Emma Baer, Betty Shirey, and Lucy Sims; her grandchildren, Glenda E. McClellan, Christina M. Jones, Stephen Etterle, and Robert D. Bailey; and by her 7 great and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Katie Stewart; her daughter, Mary F. Stephenson; and her brothers, A.T., William, and Watson Stewart.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
