Linda Pond

Linda A. Pond, age 71, entered into rest on Friday, August 6, 2021.

Linda was born in Augusta to the late Ervin Anderson and Katherine Watson Anderson. Linda’s family was longtime members of Southside Baptist Church and she later attended Glenn Hills Baptist Church. She was an office assistant for Georgia-Carolina Warehouse and Compress Company and later became assistant office manager once the company was purchased by the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her career at MCG in the printing and copying department.

Linda had the true heart of a Christian and never let adversity separate her from the Lord. Through sickness and other obstacles, she kept a cheerful spirit and a thankful heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband whom she loved and cared for,for more than 25 years, Jerry Lee Pond;step son, Rodney Pond; and her loving mother in law, Sarah Montgomery.

Linda is survived by her sister and brother in law, Joyce and Bobby Shuman; brother and sister in law, Ronnie and Rosa Dawson; and honorary sister, Bonnie Faglier (Tracy). Though Linda never had children of her own, the Lord blessed her with many to love. She was the “Mama MiMi” to her niece, Jennifer Theise (Peter); and “Mama MiMi in the window” to her grand nephew, Aaron Theise. Her life was further blessed by nieces, Katlyn Dawson (Reilly), and Shelby Rhoden (Jonathon) who helped to complete her life through joy and happiness.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Revered Josh Heath, whose family and children Linda “adopted” to love, will officiate.
