Linda Griffith

Evans, GA – Linda Louise Griffith, 66, wife of Kenneth R. Griffith, entered into rest on Monday, September 9, 2013.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Platt’s Belair Rd. Chapel with Pastor Bryan Cockrell officiating.

Linda was born in Augusta, GA to the late Charlie and Hattie Ginn. She was a graduate of State University of New York at Plattsburgh where she earned a Business Degree. She worked as a branch manager for SunTrust Bank for many years. Linda also served on several boards and charitable organizations including Junior Achievement, March of Dimes, and Boy Scouts. Linda enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She loved her family and had a very extensive one. Linda loved Jesus! She adopted all of her kids, friends, and loved each and everyone of them as her own. She was affectionately referred to as Lulu and Nanny. Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her son, Kenny Griffith (Amy), two daughters, Gina Speegle (Mike), Angie Hood ( Bill), two brothers, Jack Ginn, Danny Ginn, four grandchildren, Ashton Speegle, Brittney Speegle Ketchup (DJ), Kory Hood ( Sarah Jeffcoat), Blayne Hood, one great grandson, Hudson Speegle, special niece Cindy Head(Tim), nephew, Charlie Ginn, several nieces, nephews, and Pomeranian dog, Rocky. Linda was preceded in death by her brother, the late Bobby Ginn, and her sister, the late Dorothy Ginn.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the funeral home.
