Lillie Rushton Allen

Lillie Rushton Allen, 95, wife of the late George A. Allen, transitioned to the Cross, September 9, 2016 with her family beside her.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at 1:OOpm at Platt’s Funeral Home on Crawford Ave. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol A. Fort and sister, Mable Rushton Wheeler, Grandsons Kevin Fort (Lara), Micah Fort (Laurie), & Derek Fort (Michele), Great-grandchildren, States, Cade, Asa, Grace, Rushton, Gloria, Preslee & Pearl, and special nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry & Maude Rushton, son-in-law Owen Fort, granddaughter Mitzie Fort , three sisters, and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, nephews John & Joe Wheeler, and Denny Works. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons and nephew Ronny Koss.

Special thanks to friend and caregiver, Judy Mock and to Regency Hospice.

Visitation will be Monday, September 12, 2016 from Noon - 1:00pm at Platt's Funeral Home on Crawford Avenue .
