Lila Beazley

Lila Colvin Beazley went to be with her Lord on December 9, 2018.

Lila was born in Lincolnton, Georgia on April 25, 1921. Her parents were Emma Priscilla Hogan Colvin and Joseph Zachariah Colvin. Lila is preceded in death by her husband Raymond E. Beazley; her son, Raymond W. Beazley; her four brothers, Thomas Edison Colvin, James Joseph Colvin, Robert Luther Colvin, and Walker Owens Colvin; and three sisters, Margaret C. Galphin, Louise P. Colvin, and Jane C. Colvin.

Lila lived in Augusta for over 50 years. She retired from Johnson, Lane, Space, and Smith where she was employed as a book keeper and secretary. Lila was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta and the Golden Circle Bible Class.

Lila is survived by her daughter, Betty Beazley of Augusta; her son, Bobby Beazley (Dianne) of Hilton Head, SC; and grandchildren, Desiree and Destiny Beazley.

A celebration of Lila’s life will be held at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 with Dr. Rodger Murchison officiating. She will be laid to rest in Westover Memorial Park between her husband Raymond and her son “Little Ray”.

Relatives and friends will be received at Platt’s from 1:00 PM until service time.
