Leo Hobbs

Martinez – Mr. Leo Hobbs, 92, beloved husband of Vera Hobbs, entered into rest on Monday, August 1, 2016.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Dr. Roy Head officiating.

Mr. Hobbs served in the United States Army during World War II, and then went on to retire from Georgia Natural Gas after over 40 years of service.

In addition to his wife, Vera, he is survived by his daughters; Patricia Ann Hobbs (Ronnie) and Janice Russell (Kevin), his grandchildren; Tammy Shafer (Todd), Gina Hall, Hollie Darley and Jenny Fox (Jeff), as well as his great grandchildren; Tyler Hall, Bryson Fox and Courtney Shafer, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter; Arlene Hobbs and his brothers and sisters; Lester Hobbs, Willie Hobbs, Reaby Shepherd and Pauline Water.

If so desired, the family requests memorial donations be sent to the charity of one’s choice.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
