La Valle Edward Allen

Augusta, GA – “Val” or “Red” as many of his family knew, lost his courageous battle to cancer after a long and valiant fight. He is survived by the love of his life, Diane Allen, children John Allen, Gary Allen, Kathi Olson, Sharon Heldma, Linda Dworkin, and Toni Jimenez. Grandchildren. Kambria Sabo, Joshua Brantley, Robert Brantley, Rachel Dworkin, Benjamin Dworkin, Howard David Olson, Jr., Kerry Ann Sladick, Bill Olson and Patrick Olson. He adored his great grandchildren, Christian and Isabella Sabo and Violet Brantley. He is also survived by his siblings Barbara Sauers, Peggy House, and Lt. Colonel Roger Stewart (ret). Mr. Allen was born in Ludington, Michigan, lived many years in California and Oregon before coming to Augusta, GA three years ago. His family wishes to thank his friends and church members for making him feel so welcome in Augusta and helping to make these last three years some of the happiest of his life. Services will be held December 20th at 3 o’clock p.m. at the West Acres Baptist Church, Evans, Georgia.
