June R. Pritchett

Evans, GA – June R. Pritchett, 70, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with her nephew, Rev. Andrew “Drew” Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

June was born in Carrollton, GA but lived in the Martinez-Evans area for many years. She was a graduate of Evans High School in 1964. June retired from Augusta University, where she was the Director of the Bookstore for 30 years. She enjoyed shopping and working outside in her yard. June never met a stranger and she made friends with everyone she met. To know her was to love her. June’s greatest love was her family and was affectionately known by her grandchildren as “June Mama”.

Survivors include two daughters; Angela Chambers (Wade) of Evans, GA, Cindy Merritt (Charlie) of Martinez, GA, their father; Leonard “Len” Pritchett, two brothers; Randy Robinson (Carlette) of Evans, GA, Don Robinson of Evans, GA, sister-in-law; Linda Robinson of Evans, GA, grandchildren; Jonathan Vest (Ashlyn), Kaitlyn Vest, Sean Chambers, Kohl Chambers, Jessi Chambers, Reid Merritt, Morgan Merritt, one great grandchild; Caden Vest, and numerous nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lois Robinson, brother; Henry “Buddy” Robinson, and her loving grandfather, Weaver Roberson.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
