Josephine Hamilton Ferris

Aiken, SC – Mrs. Josephine Hamilton Ferris, 90, entered into rest on Thursday February 26, 2009 at Aiken Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday March 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with the Dr. Robert Vasholz officiating. Interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Ferris was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Augusta for almost sixty years. She also spent many years of dedicated service to the C.C. Royal Company of Aiken, SC.

Mrs. Ferris is survived by her sister-in-law, Martha Key Hamilton, her cousins, Robert and Dianne Hamilton of Alamo, GA and Jacqueline Farrow of Lawrenceville, GA, and her niece, Estell Carter.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Royal, Warren Bebe, Jack O’Tyson, Lester Harper, Joe McCrosson, Sam Acevedo, and Gerald Killian.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening February 28, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel.
