John "Johnny" A. Weathers

Mr. John “Johnny” A. Weathers Jr., age 77, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 27th, at University Hospital.

Mr. Weathers is survived by his sister, Caroline W. Miklosovic of Decatur, GA, his niece, Allison Olmstead Taylor and her husband, William James Taylor II. of Decatur, and his three great-nephews, Benjamin Cross Taylor, Harrison Baird Taylor, and William Edward Taylor. Mr. Weathers was born in Augusta and was the son of the late John “Jack” A. Weathers and Isabelle “Pinkie” Cross Weathers of Augusta, Georgia.

Johnny was a true and kind man who was loved by all who knew him. He adored his family and his lifelong friendships, threw great pool parties, conquered crossword puzzles, treasured his childhood memories, attended close to 50 Masters tournaments, and loved weekends, water, and women. Growing up, he had a passion for swimming and teaching children to swim at the Gracewood Community Center. Johnny attended Georgia Tech and received his BA in Psychology from August State University. Johnny worked for both the Medical College of Georgia and Kaye Construction.

Honorary Pallbearers include Joe Baird, Dale Duvall, Wendell Johnston, Frank “Buddy” May, and Mark Streets.
