Jerome Trapp

Augusta, GA--- Mr. Jerome Trapp, 75, beloved husband for 54 years to Virginia Moog Trapp, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the National Hills Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Steele and Reverend Hal Hodgens officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Trapp was born to Pollie and Theo Trapp, October 15, 1936 in Sheffield, Alabama and had lived in the Augusta area for over 60 years. He was co owner of Augusta Music Service, a member of the Shade Tree A's Car Club & Sunday School teacher, at National Hills Baptist Church.

His hobbies included, chauffeuring for wedding parties in his Model A Ford Sedan, enjoying time with his children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. He was loving, thoughtful and enjoyed helping others in need.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Tami Pye & husband Steve, Russell Trapp, Sr. & wife Carol, Michael Trapp & wife Bethany, seven grandchildren, Russell Alan Trapp, Jr., Brandon Joseph Trapp, Taylor Davis Trapp, Kristen Pye Goolsby, Preston Joseph Pye, Catherine Corina Trapp and Patrick Joseph Trapp, two step grandchildren, Jonathon Smith and Katelyn Smith, four great grandchildren and numerous cousins and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.

Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's II Sunday School Class and The Shade Tree A's Car Club.
