Augusta,GA.- Mrs. Janice Maxine Howard age 66, wife of William C. “Bill” Howard Jr. of fifty years ,entered into rest at her residence on Saturday, April 3, 2010.
Services will be held at St. Mark United Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Dean and Dr. Dane Wagner officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Howard and her husband Bill co-owned Howard’s Appliance in downtown Augusta since 1962. She was a loving wife,mother, daughter, grandmother( granny), mother in law , and friend. Her life was dedicated to caring for her loving mother, husband ,children and precious grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
Mrs. Howard is survived by her husband Bill Howard, four (wonderful) children and her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Stanfill , children, Greg Howard and wife Wendy, Brian Howard and wife Joanne, William Christopher ( Chris) Howard III,and wife Sharon, Lisa Ann Volpitto and husband David. Seven grandchildren, Justin Howard, Brandon Howard, Dylan Howard, Christopher Howard IV, Chandler Howard, Tessa Chumley, Kaitlyn Howard.
Pallbearers will be, Steve Gray, Fred Conley, Michael Rhodes, Larry Tolbert, Wade Rhodes, Phil Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Knight, Robert Dasher, and Whitey Lester.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, April 5, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
