James Robert Bob Martin

Grovetown, GA – Mr. James Robert “Bob” Martin, 69, entered into rest on Monday April 27, 2009 at Doctors Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday May 1, 2009 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. chapel with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Bob was a member of West Acres Baptist Church and was a Mason. He retired from Savannah River Site and loved to spend time flying with his son. He was a loving husband and father.

Survivors include his loving wife; Trint E. Martin, his son; Dr. Robert Lane Martin and wife Denise of Augusta, GA, his daughter; Krista Jill Martin of Grovetown, GA, one brother; Cecil Wilbur Martin Jr. and wife Janice of Beaufort, SC, two brother-in-laws; Joe Cone and wife Norma of North Augusta, SC, and Dennis Cone and wife Betty of Concord, CA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday April 30, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his flying friends.
