James R. Patton

Evans, GA - James R. Patton, 79, loving husband of Letitia W. Patton, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 in Salisbury, NC. A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Evans, GA at a later date.

Mr. Patton was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was a devout Christian and loved to study God’s word. Mr. Patton was a member of Bible Study Fellowship and attended the Monday night class at Warren Baptist Church and taught the Wednesday night class at Grace Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He served in the Unites States Air Force and earned his pilot’s license. Mr. Patton worked for Southern Railway for many years and retired from TTX. He loved his family dearly and was a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Maury Leach (Wayne) of Griffin, GA, Bridget Bonetti (Juan) of Greenwood, SC, Frances Campbell (Bill) of East Point, FL, two brothers, three sisters, 12 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
