James Howard Fowler

Augusta, GA – Mr. James Howard Fowler, 82, beloved husband of the late Suzette “Suzie” Fowler, entered into rest on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Doctors Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel on Friday, November 18, 2016 with Rev. Keith Whitney officiating. Interment to follow at West View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until service time at the funeral home.

James was a member of First Christian Church. He worked at Johnson’s Curb Market, Green Thumb, and also with the City of Augusta.

James is survived by his special friend and loving caregiver, Midge Johnson; and by his special aunts, Doris Dent, Virginia Summerall, and Terri Caldwell. In addition to his wife, James was preceded in death by his special friend Preston Johnson.
