James H. Haney

Augusta,GA.- Mr. James H. Haney Sr.age 88, husband of Mrs. Dorothy Gray Haney entered into rest at the Veteran Administration Hospita,l in Augusta, on May 27, 2009.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Lou Scales officiating.

Survivors include one son, James Haney Jr. and his wife Valerie W. Haney of Grovetown, and one granddaughter, Margaret Alice Haney, and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Haney retired from E.I. DuPont as a supply clerk with twenty eight years of service. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of WWII, during his military career James received 2 Bronze Stars and the Presidential Unit Citation . He was one of the founders of the National Campers and Hikers Association since 1960.

The family will receive friends Friday evening May 29, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m at the funeral home.
