Jacquelyn Morris Wise

Evans – Mrs. Jackie Morris Wise, wife of the late Gerald Wise, entered into rest on Monday, January 16, 2017 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Leon Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wise is survived by her sons; Jeff Shelnut (Brandi) and James Shelnut, a sister; Catherine Epps (Billy), her grandchildren; Brooke, Ali, Jackson, Alex and Payton Shelnut, and a sister in law; Shirley M. Wannamaker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emily Morris, her father, Jack R. Morris and her beloved daughter, Julie Shelnut.

She was a devoted Mother and Nana. She loved her family deeply. Her favorite past time was cooking and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all, but her love leaves us with memories to cherish forever.

Pallbearers will be Buckshot Miles, B.B. Miles, Tommy Wilson, Billy Epps, Chris Epps and Joey Bodiford.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, January 19, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
