Augusta, GA – Mrs. Jacqueline Fallaw Dunnavant, 78 entered into rest on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at University Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Magnolia Cemetery with Chaplain Frankie May officiating.

Mrs. Dunnavant was a longtime resident of Augusta and a 1949 graduate of Tubman Girls High School. She was the original secretary for Continental Can and also worked until her retirement with the Augusta Chronicle. Mrs. Dunnavant will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a devoted sister to her little brother.

Mrs. Dunnavant is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Anderson (Danny) and Debra Larke Newton; her brother, Thomas C. “Tommy” Hurt; her six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dunnavant was preceded in death by her son, Donald H. Stewart, Jr., and her brother, Amos Hurt.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, September 17, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
