Jack W. Streets

Augusta, GA---Mr. Jack W. Streets, 78, entered into rest on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Bryan Cockrell officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, GA with Military Honors.
Mr. Streets was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was a retired pipefitter and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #150 for 50 years. Jack had been a volunteer at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center for 11 years and was a member of The Sanctuary Church, Evans, GA.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Olin Frank Streets, Sr. and Ella Mae Ganus Streets, his brother, Bill Streets and his sister, Ruby Parrish.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carlene Peebles Streets of Augusta, GA, son, Mark W. Streets (Julie) of Lincolnton, GA, daughter, Bonnie Streets Wall (Gary) of Hephzibah, GA, sister, Dorothy Streets Dowe of Baltimore, MD, five grandchildren, Lillie Anne Streets, Gary Wall, Clayton Wall, Ben Buchanan and Jake Buchanan, three sisters in law, Delvia Streets of Augusta, GA, Linda Sharp of Graniteville, SC and Joann Boyd of Aiken, SC, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
