Irma Thames Seigler

Augusta, GA---Mrs. Irma Thames Seigler, 82, beloved wife for 61 years, of Mr. Myrel A. Seigler, entered into rest on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Doctors Hospital.
Graveside services and interment will be held, at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Westover Memorial Park with Reverend Brian LaFavor officiating.
Mrs. Seigler was a native of Ellenton, SC and was a graduate of Ellenton High School. She retired from Blanchard and Calhoun Realty Company and was a former employee of Western Carolina Bank, of Ellenton, SC and Citizen and Southern National Bank. She was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ruth Bible Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Rebecca Mixon Thames, sister, Blanche Garrard and brother, Charles Thames.
Survivors, other than her husband, include her daughter, Rebecca Towery and husband Robert, of New Caney, TX, sons, Thomas Gregory Seigler, of Atlanta, GA and Myrel A. Seigler, Jr. and wife Donna, of Evans, GA, seven grandchildren, Thomas Seigler and wife Susan, Christopher Towery and wife Nikki, Michael Towery, Patrick Towery, Maggie Seigler, Kaitlyn Seigler and Ali Seigler, three great grandchildren, NeeLou Towery, Noah Towery and Savannah Seigler, sisters, Katherine Siple and husband, Jimmie, Hazel Eaves and Gladys Britt, sister in law, Carol Thames and brother in law, Jack Garrard.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
Pallbearers will be, Christopher Towery, Michael Towery, Patrick Towery, Thomas Seigler, Edwin Timmerman and Bill Eaves.
