Henry Edward Magnusen

Augusta, GA---Mr. Henry Edward Magnusen, 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral services and interment will be private.

Mr. Magnusen was born in Hannibal, Wisconsin and grew up on a farm. He served U. S. Army as a photographer and met and married his wife, Eiko in Japan. He loved his life in the military and served tours in Korea and Viet Nam. After retiring from the military, he settled his family in Augusta, Georgia. He worked for Travelers Insurance Company and Walker Ford, in the Service Department. He enjoyed his later years, always surrounded by family.

Mr. Magnusen was preceded in death by his wife Eiko Sato Magnusen, in 2002.

He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Magnusen of Augusta, GA, Hank Magnusen, Jr. of Augusta, GA, Jinny Gildea (Edward) of Martinez, GA and Elisha Chrzan (Nick) of Atlanta, GA, grandchildren, Eddie Gildea, Jane Chrzan and Peter Chrzan and a host of nieces and nephews
