Hedy Owens

AUGUSTA- Mrs. Hedy Owens, 87, widow of the late William Owens, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Russ officiating.

Mrs. Owens was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1922 and moved to the United States in 1959.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose Hyatt, two sons, Johnny Owens and William Owens, her two grandsons, Tony Hyatt and Randy Hyatt, and a granddaughter, Devon Hyatt. She is also survived by her close friends, Vroni, Laverne and Terry.

The family would like to thank Chico, Meg, Meg W., and Sally from Heartland Hospice and Dr. Christine Stahl from Eisenhower Army Medical Center for the care given to Mrs. Owens throughout her illness.

The family will receive at the funeral home on Thursday evening, March 26, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
