Mr. Hazel Brand Gracey

Augusta, GA – Mr. Hazel Brand Gracey, age 71 beloved husband of Mrs. Mildred Gracey entered into rest on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at University Hospital.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Mr. Wayne Rankin officiating.

Mr. Gracey was born in Grovetown, Georgia and resided in Lincolnton, Georgia. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Mr. Gracey was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Gracey is survived by his six sons; John Gracey of Augusta, Brand Gracey of Augusta, Darrel Gracey of Lincolnton, Stanley Gracey of Augusta, Clint Hill of Augusta, and Stephen Hill of Harlem; his two daughters, Teresa Story of Harlem and Lynn Watts of Evans; his brother, Tom Gracey of Grovetown; his ten grandchildren, April Hill, Aaron Hill, Amber Croft, Auston Hill, Melissa Streets, Brandon Gracey, Cheryl Clark, Darrel Gracey, Jr., Hunter Watts, and River Gracey; and his five great-grandchildren, Frank Streets, Tyler Streets, Landon Croft, Ashton Barefield, and Abigail Delaigle.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, January 26, 2010 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.
